Ajero Commissions Ijero in the Diaspora Street Light Project

His Royal Majesty, Oba Adebayo Adewole the Ajero of the Ijero Kingdom with Mrs Mary Ajiro Kumuyi, representing The Ijero in the Diaspora Group

His Royal Majesty the Ajero of the Ijero Kingdom, Oba Adebayo Adewole commissioned the street light project handled by a group of Ijero indigenes are living abroad also known as Ijero in the Diaspora on Friday, August 13.

The ceremony took place at the landmark Ijero-Ekiti roundabout in Ekiti state southwest Nigeria. Representing the group was Mrs Mary Ajiro Kumuyi, who is a businesswoman based in the United Kingdom.

Kabiyesi (King in the Yoruba Language) officially commissioned the street lights which cover almost 20 Kilo-metres within the Ijero metropolis.

Mrs Kumuyi, while appreciating Kabiyesi for his kind gestures promised on behalf of the group that more is to come from them in the nearest future as she also congratulates Oba Adewole for the celebration of the iconic Ogun Festival which is annually celebrated.

In also in attendance at the commissioning ceremony was Engineer Omikunle Adeosun, Honourable Ayo Awe, Mr Odunayo Goriowo, formal Supervisory Counsellor for Ijero Local Government and our Chief Executive Officer, Mr Femi Alufa.
