As Muslims in the country join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitri, the All Progressives Congress (APC), governorship candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) has asked Muslims in Ekiti to celebrate the festival with love and unity.
The festival marks the end of the Ramadan fast and is celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
In his Sallah message to Ekiti Muslims, which was delivered by his Media Assistant, Raheem Akingbolu on Monday, May 2, Oyebanji said he rejoices with them for witnessing the end of the Ramadan season.
He prayed that the Almighty God will hearken to the supplications of the faithful and bless Ekiti State even more abundantly with peace, political stability and prosperity”.
The APC gubernatorial candidate said, “As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate Eid-el-Fitri and the end of 30 days of fasting, I urge Muslims in our dear state to continue to support the ruling party and the government in every possible way to ensure that the state continues to make steady progress towards the successful implementation of its agenda for positive transformation.
“I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to sustain the ideals of the month of Ramadan beyond the Ramadan period. We should continue to pray for the country and our state, especially for the success and peaceful conduct of the June 18 election in the state.”
