Broadcast engineer, civic innovator, journalist, author and historian, Femi Alufa will be running for the office of the Chairman of Ijero Local Government Area at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary Election holding on Saturday, October 2.
He attended St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School, Ijero-Ekiti; Doherty Memorial Grammar School, Ijero-Ekiti; Luwasa High School, Ijede, Ikorodu, Lagos; Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti; Polytechnic, Ibadan, College of Journalism, Lagos and Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos state all in the southwest of Nigeria.
Our reporter was with Mr Alufa at the screening of candidates vying for the office of the Chairman of Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti state, southwest Nigeria and he expressed his passion to replicated most of the international community goals locally.
Speaking so avidly to our reporter, Alufa said, “The Ijero people should not miss this window of opportunity because I vow to deliver my 3-Point Agenda which you’ll find in my manifesto.”
He comes from a dynasty of Alufas who served Ekiti state since the colonial era like Chief James Wellington Fajembola Alufa, who was the Secretary/Treasurer of Ekiti Divisional Council with the headquarters at Ado-Ekiti during the British colonial era; Chief Joshua Ajayi Alufa served as Agricultural Officer in the Western Region Ministry of Agriculture; his younger sister Honourable Olubunmi Omotola Alufa-Idowu, who was elected as Councilor, representing Ijero Ward C, between 2008 to2010. She is now a business tycoon and politician at the community level
