Oloore Oodua, Oore Otun Honours Erelu Fayemi, Okorocha, Bello, Akanni


His Royal Majesty Oba Adekunle Adebayo Adeagbo, the Oore of Otun-Ekiti and the paramount ruler of Moba Land conferred the title of Fiwajoye of Moba Land on the wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi on Friday, November 26.

The premier Ekiti monarch conferred her with the title in recognition of her outstanding works in women development in the state and in the nation in general. Mrs Fayemi without an iota of doubt is the epitome of virtues and she deserves the honorary chieftaincy title of Fiwajoye of Moba Land.

In the same vein, the former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha was honoured for his cause to his humanitarian services to the people of Moba Land. The Senator representing Imo West Senatorial district at the present 9th Nigerian Senate is a Philanthropist whose contribution to the educational development of many disadvantaged Nigerians and indeed cannot be erased on the sands of time.

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello is among the notable Nigerians who was bestowed the honorary chieftaincy title by the Oloore Oodua, Oore of Otun-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeagbo. Governor Bello is also a Philanthropist.

“It is worthy to note that his various businesses helped facilitate job opportunities for a number of unemployed graduates and youth particularly Kogi State indigenes.

Alhaji Yahaya Bello has embarked on several acts of philanthropy. He funds three orphanage homes and sponsors hundreds of Kogi State undergraduates in various higher institutions both within and outside the country. His need for community development inspired him to invest in various community projects,” the Monarch said.

Chief Gbenga Akanni, an Efon Alaaye born Businessman and Lagos Socialite is also another great Nigerian to be honoured. Chief Gbenga Akanni has made invaluable contributions to society towards improving Nigerians’ hospitality industry and economy.

The Paramount ruler of Moba Land advocated for unity among all ethnic groups and tribes of Nigeria, adding that everyone should see themselves first as Nigerians and we should promote our cultural heritage and diversity.

The Chairman of the Oore of Otun-Ekiti coronation anniversary committee and Ekiti State former Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Bayo Aina who addressed journalists and media icons at a press conference extolled the virtues of HRM Oba Adekunle Adeagbo for his pivotal role in the community development of the ancient Kingdom in the last one year since his ascension to the throne of his forebears.

“Apart from Erelu Bisi Fayemi, Senator Rochas Okorocha and Governor Yahaya Bello, some eminent Nigerians and indigenes of the town, who have done creditably well in the fields of human endeavours; Medicine, Engineering, Law and other professions will be honoured. We want to develop our people and build a good future for our community,” he said.
