There have been different speculations about who will emerge as the APC candidate for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II.
It has generated conversations because of the brilliant performance of Honourable Omowumi Olubunmi Ogunlola, popularly known as WOO.
The question people are asking is whether APC will deny one of her best tickets to represent the good people of the Ijero/Efon/Ekiti West Federal Constituency.
If the public office is about service to the people, Honourable Ogunlola has delivered to the admiration of her constituents.
I don’t want to bore my readers with her achievements because it is all over social media.
If the Party wants to encourage those in positions of authority under its banner to put the people and the party first, the party needs to reward and support WOO.
If the party denies WOO the return ticket, they are encouraging political office holders not to perform because performance will not be the benchmark for rating politicians.
The moral burden is now on Ekiti APC. The party needs to make sure WOO returns to the National Assembly to continue her exemplary performance and to show party members that political office is about the people and for the people.
