Taiwo Akanbi Declares for Ekiti House of Assembly


A Chartered Accountant, industrialist and grassroots politician, Taiwo Akanbi has declared his intention to contest for membership of the Ekiti State House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections.

Akanbi is seeking to represent the good people of the Ijero Constituency in the State Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his letter of intent to the Chairman of the Party in his Ward, Ikoro Ward, Akanbi assured the people “of good representation.”

Born in 1967 is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Akanbi, who’s an accomplished taxation, management and financial consultant is also an industrialist and an arable farmer.

Over the years Akanbi has been deeply involved in the socio-economic development of his constituency in particular and the state in general.

The committed and loyal member of the APC is a well-known grassroots mobilizer and community development, enthusiast.

As a thoroughbred professional he established Akanbi Isola Taiwo & Co. (a firm of Chartered Accountants) in May 2007 where he remains the Managing Partner to date. Also as an entrepreneur and industrialist who believes in creating employment opportunities for the teeming Nigerian youths, he also established Dalident Chemicals Limited, a printing inks and paints manufacturing company.

He aspires to give the Ijero Constituency the quality representation it requires at this particular time. A representative that will constantly be in touch with the people.

“As an individual who has always been with my people, I understand what they want and need at this particular time to give them a very prosperous today and a greater tomorrow,” he said.
