His Royal Majesty, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo was born to the family of Prince (Hon.) Samuel Adebowale and Lady Janet Adeagbo in Ibadan, Oyo State of Nigeria.
His Majesty attended All Saints Primary School, Jericho, Onireke, Ibadan, Oyo State between 1975-1980. He is an alumnus of International School, the prestigious Imperial University of Ibadan, Oyo State for his Ordinary and advanced level certificate between 1980-1987. Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State where he obtained B.sc in Economics between 1987-1991.
He did his NYSC at Rigom Oil Services/Shell Petroleum Development Company West Ogunu, Warri, Delta State after graduating in the year 1992.
His father, Prince (Hon.) Samuel Adebowale Adeagbo was a former Member of the Federal House of Representatives in the old Ondo State where he served as Vice Chairman, House Committee on Transport between 1979 and 1983.
Hon Samuel Adeagbo, to his credit, moved and sponsored the motion for the establishment of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), an outstanding paramilitary organization that exists to date.
He remained unarguably one of the formidable pioneer developers of Mobaland, an industrialist of note who created massive employment for Otun sons and daughters.
His Adif Biscuits company did not only generate gainful employment opportunities for Moba youths but another source of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the then Ero Local Government.
The Oba Adeagbo hails from the Ile Eye-Aba Ruling Dynasty, Otun Ekiti, Moba Local Government, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He is a direct descendant of Oore Okinbaloye a man reputed to have signed the Ekiti Parapo in 1886.
He is also the grandson of Prince Sanni Ogundunmade Adeagbo, a staunch supporter of the Action Group of the late Sage and Yoruba leader, Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, in the 50s and 60s.
On 5th May 2020, Prince Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo was selected as the Oore-elect of Otun Ekiti, after the kingmakers duly consulted the oracle for a stool which 6 contenders were jostling for. His selection followed the directive of the Ekiti State Government which mandated the kingmakers in town to select a new king for the vacant stool of Oore of Otun Ekiti from qualified princes of Ile Iya Aba ruling House which is in line with the 1961 Declaration.
He succeeded his predecessor Oba (Dr.) James Adeyemi Popoola joined his ancestors on the 21st of October, 2019.
His objective is to excel in any given task both in his profession and assigned duties, delivering on time and ensuring that stakeholders and investors are satisfactorily compensated for their labour. He is goal-getter par excellence, a disciplined team player in the core business of exploring natural resources with a clear mandate for service delivery as and when due.
Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo is without any shadow of a doubt, a progressive, both in blood, pedigree and practice. One who mimics’ his father’s untainted patriotism that now flows freely in his veins. He is a devoted Christian and happily married to Olori Catherine. A. Adeagbo and blessed with three sons.
Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo was the Executive Director (Projects) of Colkon Marine Support Services Limited, Victoria Island, Lagos between 2014- 2019. At Colkon he worked on the preparation of technical and financial bids for International Oil companies like Exxon Mobil, Addax, Total Upstream Limited.
He also supervised the dredging, construction and reclamation work at Colkon Marine Support Services where he ensured projects are concluded within stipulated timelines.
At Colkon Marine Support Services back then, the monarch Ensured that work methods, project execution plans and work programs are strictly adhered to; he also made sure that the flows of cash policy that is; community and safety, health, environment and security is strictly followed.
The Oore later moved on and served as Consultant and Executive Director Projects also the Head catalyst for Mercury Dredging and Construction Limited Ajah, Lekki, Lagos between 2017-2019.
Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo whose profession takes semblance after late Chief Adeleke Awoyinka’s (Consolidated Dredging & Construction Company Ltd) is an International Dredging practitioner on sharp sand, aggregates, granite, gold, tourmaline and precious minerals.
Oba Adeagbo is a Founder and Director of several companies such as Mercury Dredging and Construction ltd, Lagos, Mercury Dredging and Construction Inc, Canada, Royalties Mining and Construction Ltd, Ile Ife, Osun state, amongst others.
He is a member of the following associations and Clubs: International Western Dredging Association, Canada, Nigerian – Canada Association, Ottawa, Canada, The World Dredging Association, Ibadan Golf Club, Ibadan, Oyo State
Successful supervision and completion of bush clearing work for Dangote Refinery 600,000 barrels a day refinery at Ibeju Lekki, Lekki Lagos, Lagos State between 2014 – 2018.
Successful supervision and timely completion of Sand filling of SAHARA GROUP tank farm site at Onne Oil and gas free zone, Onne, Rivers State between 2014 -2018.
Successful supervision and timely completion of the Construction of Pioneer campsite for Olokola Liquefied Natural gas site at Odeomi, Ogun State for Chevron/Popham Walter Odusote Group between 2007 – 2009.
Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo has a lot of Interpersonal skills, he is highly exposed by extensive travelling and research locally and internationally with multinational companies and agencies. He has the ability to work as a team player to achieve set goals and objectives.
He is trained in the art of Time Management ensuring Work Methods, Project Execution Plans and Works Programs are Strictly Adhered to.
