Mrs Mary Yemisi Ayilola the Chief Executive Officer of Yemeco Classic International will be honoured for her role modelling, impact and community service. The stunning woman of sterling qualities is one of the Ijero-Ekiti in the Diaspora that always remember her roots and making difference in service to her Ijero-Ekiti community.
The Convener of Ijero Municipal Agenda (IMA), Mr Femi Alufa in his notification of the IMA Impact Award letter written to Mrs Mary Yemisi Ayilola said: “You are one of the Ijero in the Diaspora that is making our lives sublime as a community and people. We are very proud of your superlative achievements and invaluable contribution to our society.”
Mrs Ayilola deserves the IMA Impact Award for her outstanding service to the Ijero community as a role model and inspirer to our youths. The convener of IMA, Femi Alufa said further that:” The Impact Community Service Award is developed to honour persons who are making significant contributions to Ijero-Ekiti municipality through their talents, time, resources, and dedication to our community service.”
The honouree, Mrs Mary Yemisi Ayilola was born in the 1960s in Lagos by Ijero-Ekiti parents. Her late mother, Madam Felicia Egbewamide Ajayi (Ayo bi eleye) hailed from Iwaro quarters, Ijero-Ekiti and her father, late Pa Joseph Owolawi from Odo’dara quarters, Ijero-Ekiti. She attended Baptist Girls Primary School, Lagos and Aladura Comprehensive High School, Anthony Village, Lagos, and later Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos. She left Nigeria for the United States for the proverbial greener pasture and also furthers her education in a prestigious Nursing School.
Mrs Ayilola, a registered and professional Nurse is also a business tycoon and philanthropist. She is the CEO of YEMECO Classic International, a business outfit that deals in jewellery, fashions, garments and general merchandise. The company was incorporated in Maryland, USA and has branches in Nigeria. She also works as a paediatric during her leisure time because of her love and passion for the care of children.
She is also the founder of Yemeco Hopeful Foundation (YHF), a non-governmental organization dedicated to the memory of her parents and planned to cater for the less privileged of the society; the widows, orphans and indigents youths.
She is happily married to Mr James Oladipo Ayilola who is also a native of Ijero-Ekiti who is based in Glendale, Maryland, USA and the union is blessed with four handsome and brilliant boys.
The Ijero Municipal Agenda (IMA) Impact Award will be given to her on Monday, August 16th, 2021 at Ijero Municipal AncestoryHub, Iwaro Street, Ijero-Ekiti by 11 am prompt in appreciation of her contributions to the Ijero community. Mrs Ayilola serves as the Auditor of the Auditor II of the Ijero Development Association (IDA), the apex body of all the organizations in the Ijero-Ekiti community.
She is a role model who is known for her compassion, service and heart of gold. She is one of the impactful personalities who are striving to make the world a better place and she has a passion for helping others in her community.
